Different birds have different hatching times for their eggs. Generally, the smaller birds have higher metabolic rates and their eggs hatch earlier. The number of days it takes for egg to hatch is also not fixed; it can vary between a range of two to three days. The small birds like the quail’s eggs can take anywhere between 16 to 24 days to hatch, button and Coturnix Quail’s eggs hatch earlier. Ringneck Pheasant takes 23 to 24 days, Mongolian Pheasant takes 24 to 25 days, peafowl takes 27-29 days, Swan eggs can take up to 6-37 days, goose and mallard ducks’ eggs can take up to 28 days, Crows, 18 days, sparrows take 10-12 days and Robins’ eggs takes 12 to 14 days
