Heat cycle in all dogs including English bulldog can be of 21 days. Majority of the dog breeds have 2 heat cycles in a year and each heat cycle is repeated after 6 months. Heat cycle in dogs begins with vaginal swelling and bleeding that can last for 7-10 days. After this, bleeding is reduced or ceased and dogs show flagging which is invitation or male dogs for mating. After mating if she become pregnant then there will be gestation period of o 63-66 days, otherwise she will come in to heat again after 6 months. In case of pregnancy, her heat cycle will be start 4 months after delivery.
