How Do I Potty Train My Red Nose Pit Bull Puppy?

All puppies are toilet trained in a similar way, regardless of which breed they are. There are a number of steps that can be taken to make sure your puppy is potty trained quickly though!

You just need to make sure that you have the time to get into a good routine.

The problem with puppies is that their toilet routine is rarely predictable, they can go anywhere at any time!

So learning their habits is very important in order to preempt and prompt them into not going in the house to do their "business".

A good tip to look out for is that most puppies will need to urinate straight after waking up, so you will need to be aware of this and ready to take the puppy outside straight away. If you do this every time then the dog will get used to this routine and in time begin to do it on its own.

On average a puppy will need to urinate every two hours (lots of trips outside for you I'm afraid). They can can also do it spontaneously if they get excited, so make sure to take your puppy out if it has been playing for a while.

When the puppy is in the garden, make sure you repeat cue words such as 'be clean', so in the future your dog will know what this word means without any help. It is also worth being in the garden with your puppy so you can reward any good behaviour.

If you follow these steps early on, you should be able to avoid many accidents. Hope this helps!
