Mother cat will not kill her kittens. My momma cat just gave birth 2 days ago and I was beside her, talking to her all through delivery. She was young so I wanted to make sure she knew she was okay.I didnt need to help her but after she had delivered I changed the towel in her bed and picked up her new bundles of joy. She was completely trusting and didnt mind at all. I have been holding them for a few minutes each day and she is quiet content. She hasn't eaten them

My cat has been with me since she started her pregnancy, so we got really close.  When she gave birth I had to help her, I don't believe she would hurt her new born's. I've touched them since they were born, 2 weeks ago.  And she has never rejected any one of them.  What I don't do is let anyone out side of the family touch them because I believe any mother wouldn't want a stranger touching their child!

My cat gave birth yesterday and if I walked away from the box while she was in labor, she would jump out and demand I come back .They were having a hard time nursing at first and she was getting upset, I helped place the kitten to her nipple and they starting nursing. She will not let her new kittens away from my site. I had her in a separate room and she became stressed and I had to move the box in the bathroom beside my bedroom so she can see me while caring for them. Spoiled. She wants help

Touching your mummy cats new babies should not cause you any trouble, provided it is your cat. Don't let others touch them if the mummy doesn't know them. I have had my mummy cat for just 6 months she was feral when we got her, and didn't trust anyone but I worked with her every day and when she fell pregnant she; tho sill quite wild and timid allowed me to help her not only when she was delivering,(she is a very small cat with very big babies) but continued to be ok with me picking them up and touching the , they are now 3 weeks old very friendly and definately not eaten. Hope all goes well with your mummy

No I have had many cats over the years, and have helped if needed when they gave birth I know they eat the afterbirth but definately not the kittens. As long as its your cat then there should not be a problem but after 3 weeks she may move them, as mine have done in the past.. ,Make sure she don't take them out the house, or you probably wont see them again

If you mother cat trusts you she probably wont care if you touch them. But make sure that they are several weeks old before you touch them. However if you are not that cose to your cat you may not want to touch them for she may not take care of them as she was before. But I dout that she will kill them.

No, a mother cat will not eat their newborns if you touch them. My cat who I've had for about 4 years gave birth and I touched her kittens almost everyday for 6 weeks and she never rejected them or ate them or treated them any different. Me and my cat are very close though.

That is not true. No matter how old the kittens are they can be touched without being killed by the mother. I have 5 kittens and they where bron last week and i touch them everyday before going to school and there are always 5 kittens when i come home.

A mother cat can not kill her kittens if touched, but she can move them from the present position to an other position by carrying them with their mouth.

If you don't now the cat never touch the kittens btu they will be fine with you touch them if you r the owner and she trustu sometimewws they have problems giving birth and I have actually had to pull a few out and she was I think very happy about it
then I had a cat that couldnt have baby very inbreed so she would steal the other cats babies and try to raise them it was sad she so wanted to be a mother and so Ive always handled kittens and Ive owned to many cats in my life and have never hd a problem with handleing them but if you handle them 2 much you can tend 2 make them sick crusty eyes running noses stuff like like its best to leave them , zand aalone at least untill they start really moving around. And I mean like walking good

No, she will not kill them. Cause I researched that if you touch a cat with clean hands. The mother won't care unless you come outside each day and pet the momma cat. If she lets you pet you. She will let you pet the kittens. I haven't pet them yet. But my grandpa said that to me.

I wouldnt touch them just in case. Its like if you go near a birds nest, the mother will never come back because she smelt human scent. Thats my opininon. I am going to do research. My mom was taking pics of my sister on a dirt road, and came back with 2 kittens who were stuck in a tree. Came home with us. Weird Huh?

Help, she dropped 5 kittens in my studio all over the room, they are crying and still have the placenta attached. I moved them all to one box but she seems not to be interested in any of them.

I don't really think that she'll kill them but she might not treat them the same way after that. Just leave them with her for a little while.

No she shouldn't kill them but she might attack you!!

Unlike hamsters and Guineapig Queens do not kill they're young unless they have to!!
But keep in mind she will be a wee bit over protective at the start..
