Well, it depends on what size dose it was. Obviously, Excedrin is not designed for consumption by dogs, and therefore it could have some negative effects on your pet.

If your dog starts to act strangely, or you notice anything unusual in its behavior, then you should take her to the vet immediately and explain what has happened.

In the meantime, if you can, try to make your dog sick before the Excedrin pill has been broken down in her stomach.

  • Excedrin is a headache pain reliever which is sold over-the-counter (you don't need a prescription to obtain it).
  • It contains three main ingredients which are: Acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine.
  • In the United States, this medication is very popular - it's usually in the top ten of over-the-counter medications (measured by sales) every year.
  • It is designed to relieve the pain caused by headaches in humans, and is not designed for consumption by pets.
