Any spot on dogs needs investigations including physical examination and some laboratory/radiological test to diagnose properly because there can be many types of spots in dogs. A spot on the nose of dogs with fur loss can be due to allergic reactions or contact dermatitis especially due to food bowls. But foods allergy, external parasites, bacterial or fungal infections and some diseases can also cause this condition. If your dog is scratching or pawing at the nose then he should be examined by your local vet for proper diagnosis and treatment.
