Make sure he has not gotten a piece of a branch lodged in his esophagus. Eventually it can dissolve, depending in the type of wood. But seeing it is wood will make the process a long one. If it persists, take him to a vet. Otherwise find out what type of branches he is eating and look up ways to dissolve the wood. Make sure whatever you do is safe for the dog!
