Can I give my dog mylanta? He's thrown up a couple times, acting kinda funny won't eat, throw up was really acidic. Is this ok? I was thinking 1tsp, I know it depends on weight, he's about 12lbs

I believe you 'can' give him something to settle his stomach .. But .. That only resolves a symptom not the cause.  The cause is FAR more important to determine so you can control reoccurances.  Could be food allergies or intollerances (for example) that could be causing the distress.  You might want to talk to your vet about ANYTHING you might want to give a dog .. That way you know what you can give him, and how much.  Dosages are extremely important.

Since you don't know why your dog is vomiting, you shouldn't give him anything.  Take him to your Vet and have them decide what your pet needs.

No as it sounds like the dog got into something here and Mylanta may counter react and do more damage than good. Do try to keep the dog hydrated with water only, you can try mile if he is still throwing up as it should help clear his stomach but nothing else. If persists, contact your Vets 24 hour emergency number for advice and good luck
