I have a one yr old pitbull that I trust with mine and my childrens lives.Its not just pitbulls that will "turn" and be aggressive,any dog will turn on you if you mistreat it .Pitbulls are not the monsters ppl make them out to be.My 85 lb pit is scared of my 8.5 lb chihuahua,he is the most sensitive dog I have ever owned,you can hurt his feelings just by raising your voice.I hate when ppl act like pitbulls are so ferocious and mean,its not the dog its the dumb ppl that teach them to be that way.Punish the deed,not the breed!!!!
Oh Boy that should never happen.... They are going to be aggressive, when they are bred wrong, and it is second nature, it will happen, interbreeding makes mean dogs, it is in the bloodlines. Teasing any dog will make it want to attack. If a dog is teased by a boy, it will hate boys, and when it gets older it will attack boys around the age of the boy that teased them, they will remember the hate and anything can set them off.
Make sure you have a pure bred, so there is no question on the breeding, and bloodline. Don't trust people who say it is a pure bred dog but I don't have the paper's, its like buying a used car, SHOW ME THE CAR FAX or walk away, that is your protection, AKC papers that it is a pure bred.
Whatch the breeding and no teasing of any dog any time. It is not allowed.
You can decrease the behavior by socializing your puppy young and having a strict training regime. Pit bulls are usually aggressive to other dogs but it would help if you socialize your dog with many other dogs when he is young. At about 6 months when they go through puberty you will notice more aggressive behavior that is the time you need to work real hard with them.
Pitbulls do not get aggressive unless you make them but they are like any other animal and even kids they will test you just to see what they can get away with. They will only do what you allow them to do.
