You are probably not taking proper care of them, what is their living enviroment like? What are you feeding them? Are they with their mother? And their father?

The friend is wrong I am sorry to say, that is fine for grown ducks but you need to feed babies, CHICK FEED, it has more nutrients and that could be why they are dying
If you let them swim too early that could be the problem too and in which case I and my friend are not sure what to do you should take them to a vet, they must be 9-12 weeks before they can swim unless your water is VERY shallow and you are watching them

Also being in the shed they could have drank something or ate something they shouldnt have, eating popcorn, bread, or anything like that for the first month can make them sick....you should call a vet

Oh and no medicated chick feeed only regular chick feed

Not correct in the home environment you need to have them under heat lamps because domestic ducks may not know how to care for their younge properly

Sadly, this sometimes happens. Even when you do everything right. Are you doing everything right? Are they natural hatchlings or incubator? Are they with Mum? They need Mum to keep warm and dry. Are you feeding them the proper chick food? Are they getting water to drink?
My girls have hatched ducklings many times, and fortunately we have only ever lost 3

Because their soft feathers for the first couple weeks are not water repellant and they will get sick if they are left wet, this could be what happened

Mum MUST be with them when going in water. She provides the oils that repel the water. She keeps them dry and warm.

Umm dude your wrong again, their feathers provide the oils, it has nothing to do with mum, and they MUST be dried off after

You need to take them to a vet though or get a vet, cause you may have infected ducks or you may simply have done something wrong, either way you were no prepared for ducklings or you would already have a vet for them
