Mice sometimes carry it in their cheeks for storage,but rats tend to eat first then produce milk for any offspring they have.
Do mice or rats carry food ?
I'm a florida trapper and ive seen some wierd stuff, when I comes to rats and mice.I'de hate to say they are a pain. I was doing a job at local town in fl outside of tampa. And it was a doggy day care by far the worst job. If, I might add that. Lol, so found food in nest by nest. They even started comin out in the daylight to feed. The dog food was in plastic container. Not a good idea, even the norway can chew threw steel,brick, concrete. Just get metal container for dog food before or after rodent problem.

Only sometimes like if they get in your fridge or pantry they will take it and eat it at there hole
