The moisture and temperature of the nose are not a reliable way to assess health status in dogs.  Nasal discharge or changes to the architecture of the nose (cobblestone appearance) are concerning.  If your dog is exhibiting any other signs--lethargy, not wanting to eating, coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge, vomiting or diarrhea he needs to be examined.
Puppies can be sensitive to hypothermia--if you have any concerns about your dog's body temperature also have him examined by a veterinarian.

It is a dry warm nose to worry about since it is usually linked to a fever. Your dog sounds fine to me.
