You should seek immediate veterinary attention. It's impossible to say what the lump is until a vet carries out tests on the lump, and gives your dog a proper examination.

Lumps can be the result of a number of issues with your dog, so it would be best to establish exactly what is wrong as soon as possible. The quicker you get your dog to the vet, the quicker treatment for this problem can begin.

A lump on your dog's thigh could be the result of a number of problems:
  • Infections.
  • Inflammation.
  • Allergic reactions.
  • Trauma.
  • Neoplasia (cancer).
You really should seek veterinary treatment for your dog right away.

Unless it starts bleeding/oozing/or the dog has any type of problem, I would just wait and see if anything happens. Most dogs develop little bumps, but if it is fairly large I recommend a vet.-Trey
