You could try wiping gently with a cotton ball soaked in weak tea (no milk, no sugar), or a cooled but wet tea bag on the eye. It wont irritate the eye. The tannin in the tea will soothe your dogs eye and help reduce any inflammation.  If you have chamomile tea, it works even better than ordinary black tea.  Do it 2-3 times a day, but if there's no improvement in 2-3 days, then it may need antibiotic treatment from a vet.

If you mean red-eye, as in weepy with sticky white/green discharge, you could try cleaning twice daily by soaking cotton~balls or very soft cloth in cooled down boiled(sterilized) water or cooled down weak tea (no milk/sugar). Always wipe from nose side of eye (inner corner) towards outer corner of eye, being careful not to irritate the eye anymore than it is already.

I wasnt sure what you mean by "redeye ball", so if you are not meaning what I've explained above, then take a look at this link about dogs eyes and problems.

You really can't be too careful when it comes to eyes. Good luck ~ and I hope you're able to find the money to get him the right treatment.   It probably only needs a antibiotic eye cream, but  in order to get that, a vet needs to see the eye first. Whatever you do, NEVER use creams meant for human use.

If it were me, I'd try and flush the eye best I could. Maybe there is something in there...?????  If it gets any worse I'd take him in to the vet for sure.

Take him to the vet to be seen, there is something going on in there and you probably shouldn't be using medicine for an infection that might not be of the same strain. Hope this helps, good luck to you.

That happens to a lot of peoples Pit Bulls. Including my friends. It might just be an age thing or an eye infection.

Red, inflamed eyes can be a sign of conjunctivitis or allergies.  Have your dog examined by a veterinarian to determine the cause of the redness and start appropriate treatment.  Conjunctivitis requires topical ophthalmic anti-biotic medication.  Allergy treatment is multi-modal.  Unfortunately pit bulls are predisposed to allergies.

Only my pitbulls right eye is red,why is this. Also his left eye seems to fit his skull and face better why,and is this possible? Could this have something to do with the redness of the right eye?
