It sounds like you dog has sustained an injury to her back quarter. I would hold her and have someone help by checking for visible signs of injury. I would seek a vet ASAP. Are there any animal hospitals anywhere close to you that are open 24/7 that you could take her to?

Age and breed of your dog are necessary information required to answer your question. Aging in dogs can cause weakening of muscles, reduced flexibility of joints and neurological control of limbs. Some breads of dogs are more prone to develop hip dysplasia.

Following are some common causes of limping in dogs.

1. Traumatic injuries
2. Fractures
3. Muscle damage
4. Arthritis
5. Hip dysplasia
6. Bone tumors
7. Paw infections
8. Thorn in the paw

Your dog has lost appetite due to pain. So, you should take your dog to vet for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

I have a German shepard/husky mix she is like 11-13 years old I think cause I think she is 1 year younger or I year older than me or as old as me so she is pretty old for a dog she never eats or drinks and my dad fills some of her water bowl like 1 time each week and she is very skinny she limps on her front and back paws and legs and it really scares me  she is very slow but when ever I throw a tennis ball she goes and gets it SO PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY POOR DOG ALLIE

My dog is doing the exact same thing! She is 7 months old and just completed her first heat cycle. Not sure what to do. Looking for answers myself. She is so sad looking - she won't even move and when she does she is limping. I don't know if she is looking for attention or if she really doesn't feel good. I've messed around with her leg and she never grimaces. I'm thinking hormones and false pregnancy.

Limping, not eating, shaking, favoring left leg and panting hard are all signs of pain.  Get him to the vet.

I agree with Nic7320.  A dog will not always whimper or cry with pain.
They show us in different ways, not eating is a big indication that something is wrong.
Good luck!

My lab did this also. He was fine one day, then after a walk one afternoon, just started laying around. Then we noticed his rear legs giving out on him. He stopped eating also. He was diagnosed as being severely diabetic and we had to put him down a week later. Please get your dog to the vet asap, if you haven't already.

Your dog may just have an upset tummy, they tend to do what your dog is doing, when this happens, just wait for a day and keep it warm .
