A baby rabbit is called a kitten or kindle. They are often affectionately called as bunnies which refer to young domesticated rabbits. Rabbits generally live for 6- 12 years and are very friendly playful pet animals. Proper ventilation is required for the rabbits to prevent respiratory problems in the cage. They are small mammals which fall under the family of Leporidae.

Rabbits require plenty of clean and fresh water accompanied with lots of green leafy vegetables. Turnip, carrots, cilantro and basil leaves are their favorites. For the kittens, vegetables and fruits should be given carefully. These bunnies are often kept as pet and domesticated. In wild the rabbits are often found in groups and reside in underground burrows or warrens.
