My biggest concern is for an aural (ear) hematoma.  This occurs when blood vessels break and leak blood between the skin and the cartilage of the ear.  They can get to be very big in size, often feel hot, usually fill fluid-filled (like a water balloon), and are painful/uncomfortable for dogs.  They are caused by trauma--either from shaking the head/ears or injury often from wrestling/playing with other dogs.
Dermal masses can develop on the ears as well.  If it does not look a hematoma your veterinary will do a fine needle aspirate to determine what the growth is--cyst, benign mass, or malignant mass.

Well I had a dog and she had one a bit bigger in her mouth. It was a tumor now I would say that it would not be deadly and you might be able to get it removed, this would be best because, it might be causing some
discomfort. I am glad I could help and I hope every thing goes OK for you and your dog!
