Guinea pigs may not have a conscious but they still are aware of people loving and caring for them.  it may not be used to you yet. They take a while. Just keep petting and holding it and feeding it snacks like lettuce and carrots. It should soon begin to act much happier. Just don't hold it too much each day or it may be scared. I hope that this helps! Good luck!

Guinea pigs will be scared when u 1st get them, but eventually they will be calm when you hold them and actually like 2 be pet.

By the way, don't feed your guinea pig lettuce, it makes their tummy hurt.

Guinea pigs only tend to bite if they are uncomfortable, the best way to ensure he doesn't bite you is to place one hand under his front paws and use your other hand to support his lower body.
If he begins to get restless place him back in his cage, allow your guinea pig time to get use to his new surroundings before handling him.Its a good idea to invest in a guinea pig care book.
