No it's not dangerous.. And no it doesn't like corn, it's a carnivore 100%.. They got the name because they were often found in corn fields where they hunt the mice and rats that do like to eat the corn.

I can't find any evidence of corn snakes in Jamaica...but then there isn't much of anything about snakes in Jamaica. What I have learned is that there are NO poisonous snakes in Jamaica.. so whether or not it's a corn snake it's harmless.

If you're not planning on releasing it soon, you need to get a pinky mouse or little lizard to feed it.

No, They Are Not Dangerous, They don't Have  Venom & Do Not Like bitting, But Theyre Also Very friendly & Mostly don't Shy Away When Comfortable,
