I'm looking to get a corn snake and everything I have found says it's a bad idea. It's likely to kill them so just stick to the mice. Frozen mice when they are young is what everyone seems to say, and when they get older feed them live mice. The will constrict it and eat it whole.

NO, Corn Snakes do NOT eat fish, and would not recognize fish as a food source. Corn Snakes are rodent eaters, and feed on small rodents(plus the occasional small bird in the wild). Water Snakes and Garters are fish eaters, with very different habits from Corn Snakes.
