Hello there!! A foul smell coming from the mouth can mean a few things. I am curious as to how old your Kitty is? Are Kitty's gums red & inflamed? Cat's (& dogs) get Dental Disease. My Siamese Cat "Boca" had a foul smell coming from his mouth & I took him to work with me to have him looked at & it turned out that he had infected gums, rotten teeth, & a few abscesses. He had to have a bunch of teeth extracted & a good cleaning on the ones that did not need to be extracted. I suggest you bring your Boy to the Vet & have them do a physical exam done. A LOT of bacteria forms in Cats' mouths & if not treated can lead to Infections, pain & discomfort, & if left untreated for too long, the infection may become really bad & Kitty could become septic which means the infection would take over the blood & it can cause death. If caught before that happens, & preventative measures are taken like extracting the rotten teeth, cleaning any others, & putting Kitty on an Antibiotoc such as Antirobe, things can work out just fine. I hope that I have provided you with some useful information!! If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via my shoutbox.

Your cats foul odor could be a number of things happening.  I think the first thing to consider is she may have an abscessed tooth - if you notice any swelling on either of her cheeks.  Or she just may have a bad tooth that is rotten.  Another indication of bad breath could be pancreatitis (my dog has the worst smelling breath and it turned out she had pancreatitis - but you would also notice things like your cat losing weight).

It could be the cat has some soreness inside his/her mouth, it's like smelling the puss and that stuff, same goes for horses. I would probably check it out and if there was something wrong, then I would bring her to the vet! Hope this helps, Good luck, :)

You need to get the cat to the vet right now!! There can be something very serious going on here. His life could very well be in danger! Good luck.

I agree why even just sit there and bother typing a question like that when you know there has to be something wrong. You should act on it ASAP!! I hope you find out what is wrong and get help for that poor cat.
