Dogs start to leak clear fluid when mucous plug is removed during last stages of pregnancy. This fluid can become pale and then green. When fluid starts to secrete then it means that process of birth has begun and puppies are on their way. Very soon, she will shake due to labor pain and strain to push puppy outside. She can take 6-12 hours to deliver puppy after start of labor.
