Are you certain that is is one month after her season and she isn't still in heat? She stopped and then started again? If that's the case I would be very concerned about uterine infection like pyometra or metritis which can be deadly (often because they aren't caught in time, they may be confused for heat or pregnancy or missed completely until the poor girl is near death one day). If she hasn't stopped then I would still have her checked out as it could be a problem with something else, like maybe thyroid or maybe a boy got her and caused hemorrhage or something. Or could even be miscarriage which also usually has an underlying cause such as some of those already stated and STD.  Definitely something to have checked out asap. I hope your baby is okay and good luck.

Thanks for your suggestions! I'll get her checked out ASAP. Wish I done so earlier but she doesn't act "sick" (i.e., eating normal, enjoys our long walks, same temperament, etc.)

No, thank you. If that's the case I wouldn't feel too bad for not going sooner. Like I said, it's easy to miss until it's dire and the people that really know to look for it are mainly breeders and vets. :-). You would still catch it way earlier than most. Did think of another possible expl. Though. How old? In an older dog frequent 'heats like that can signify that they are developing a polyp. Most of the 'treatment's up there are going to be spay. :-) Ultrasound might make things go faster.
