Dog meat
I also have a Dachshund/Russell mix and rescued him from the SPCA a couple of weeks ago...they had named him DEXTER and it suits him to a T!!!
Porky. Rusty, rebel, coffee, tich, nipper, dodger, split, coco, scruff and my own favourite, stretch.:)
I named my dog 'Jackson', since he is indeed a pure first generation Jack Russell/Dachshund mix. I just combined the names of Jack Russell and Dachshund and pronounce it 'Jack-Son' since 'Jack-Hund' is little tricky on the tongue.
Also - you should look up their history - you will find some quite interesting and helpful facts about their breed and hopefully from your research you will find some good ideas for a name. However, your own personal touch to giving him a name, I trust, will come not only from the facts of their breed but from your personality. Follow these links for starters:
[Jack Russell Terrier: en.wikipedia.org ---- and -----
[Dachshund: en.wikipedia.org I've helped. Best wishes to you - my Jackson is an absolute wonderful dog and truly the best dog I have ever had the privilege of owning.
Blessings,
JM
