Sorry I know how hard it is to watch this happen to your dog. I have a Siberian Husky she had her first seizure when she turned 2. I took her to a specialist, an animal neurologist. It cost me $1,200. To find out she is epileptic and needs to take phenobarbital twice daily. The seizures look more painful than they are. I was assured that when they are over the dog really doesn't suffer any further and doesn't remember the seizure. The hardest part was getting her on the correct dose of meds. It took a long time and she cried and moaned when she was too high, she seemed scared of the feeling. Now that she is on the correct dose she is doing fine. I got a new dog and for some reason she has not had a seizure in about 6 months! I have heard of other cases where this helped. I wish I could take her off the meds they will shorten her life span. My vet says she needs them for the rest of her life. They never gave me a cause and said it was probably hereditary but the breeder swears her dogs never have been epileptic.

Your dog is suffering from Epilepsy. This is also called as seizures. This disease is getting common in many breeds of dogs.

Another reason can intake of poison. Take your dog to vet so that you can get rid of this disease. This is really painful disease for the dog to make it restless all the time. I can be brain tumor as well.

Get a Brain scan....to check for tumor. My dog walked in circles too and died the next day from a brain tumor. But the seizures started some years 3-4 earlier.

I have a 13 yr old Maltese who loses his balance and his legs are given out, he just falls over and stays like that until I pick him up.  This just started today.  He walks like he is drunk, stumbling around before he just falls over.  I just had all of his blood work done last week, and everything is normal.  What could be wrong?
