There is no such thing as a 'Mini Doberman'.
Either it's a Doberman or it's a Miniature Pinscher.
(as the rather irate Mini Pin breeder quickly
informed me when I went to her to get my mine).
The ancestry of the Miniature Pinscher is believed
to include the smaller German Short-Haired Pinscher,
the Italian Greyhound and the Smooth-Haired Dachshund.
The Doberman is a mixture of about several different breeds
(most likely by crossing the same German Pinschers with
Rottweilers, Beauceron, Greyhounds and English Greyhounds)
created during the 1960s by Herr Dobermann, a part-time tax
collector (and dog catcher).
