If he has been more active in the past 2 weeks, it should be normal. If not you should get him checked immediately. I had a dog loose weight over a few days, and he died from heartworms. I gave him heartguard too, but I must have missed a day. Good luck
My neighbors' dog is a 2yr old lab from a pet store (usually stocked by backyard breeders, no doubt). The dog has suddenly lost so much wt that it is skin and bones, the muscle mass decreased. Their vet did tests that showed nothing out of the ordinary. The dog was wormed and seems to have picked up a tiny bit, that's all. I love her and hate to see her like this. What's your best guess? (wt loss occurred rapidly over a couple of months, she's much less energetic).
