Generalized drooling is often secondary to nausea. The unilateral nature of the drooling has me concerned that there may be a problem with that side of your dog's mouth. Tooth root abscesses, oral foreign body, oral masses, burn/caustic wound, or wounds are all possible causes. Seek veterinary medical attention if the drooling persists.
Try giving a small amount of water with milk or vanilla ice cream in case this is a taste reaction. Taste reactions are sudden episodes of drooling after dogs ingest something irritating--like hot sauce.
