Their preferred habitat is savannah.
Diet
Meerkats mainly feed on insects, spiders and other small animals, as well as roots and bulbs.

Meerkats live in burrows and they eat bugs I think they are so cute I used to always watch them on the discovery channel. I hope this helps!!!!!!
