Not sure you can buy a meerkat. Like many wild animals there are very strict rules and regulations protecting wild animals. Of course it also depends on where you live as well, if you live in a heavily populated area, a meerkat probably wouldn't be the best pet for you. They are borrowing animals and need some considerable space to live. Even if you lived in a rural area you would have to check with the local wildlife agency to make sure that this animal wouldn't create issues with the local wildlife or possible disease.
