We humans are responsible for that.Turtles are killed for skin, to make leather for handbags and shoes, and the meat, to make food. The shell is used to make patterned plastic.Nowadays turtles are becoming endangered and many associations are being made for saving turtles.

I've done a lot of research and I'm only 12 years old. My research says that turtles are being extinct because of humans killing them for stuff we don't need like new shoes, food, and other stuff. Turtles give us a lot of stuff and for our lives and I think we should give them a chance to live and not be hurt from us humans

Turtles are becoming EXTINCT because we are using too many lights near the sea so they get confused. For Example, if there is a huge hotel near were some turtles have been layed, then they hatch, their instinct is to follow the moon's light, but if there is a hotel with lots of neon lights, it will follow the wrong light, and possibly be ran over, or made into turtle soup. It could also be eaten by a preditor if it takes too long for it to get to the neon lights !!!

We human beings are responsible for the extinction of the turtles as the actions we take is what making them being on the verge of extinction. The phenomenon can be better understood by an example. If we take the example of olive ridley turtles, they are on the verge of extinction and the responsibility goes on us human beings. They came all the way fro Canadian coasts to the coast of India at a place called Gahirmatha. In Gahirmatha there is a rule that you can use only such kind of net to caught fish in which turtles are not get caught. But hardly you find anybody who uses the recommended net and he catches turtles and in consequence the population of turtle is getting less and less.

So I can say that it is our collective responsibility to take care of our ecosystem and save all the turtle from getting extinct.
