Start walking you puppy at a young age to get him adapted to it and to start the training process faster. This should be done at an early age as if it becomes too late then the dog will lose his ability to learn fast and respond. Start walking your puppy as soon as you possibly can. Start by taking him for short walks till he builds up the stamina to go for longer walks. Potty train your dog to make only outside the house and wait till he is walked to do so. Set up fixed times for walks so that the dog's system gets used to them. If your timings are erratic; then get a dog walker to walk him. If your dog is very unruly, try enrolling him into an obedience class.
