Hiccups in dogs is a condition that is developed due to abrupt filling of gases in the lungs caused by spasm in the diaphragm. Hiccups can be in quick succession or delay in between. Hiccups in dogs can be due to
  1. Stress
  2. Eating rapidly
  3. Spasm in diaphragm
  4. Minor stomach disorder
Occasional hiccups in dog is not a matter of great concern but persistent hiccups in dogs should not be ignored because it can be due to some serious problem. Occasional hiccups in dogs is treated by giving water only but persistent hiccups need vet visit.
