A yellow bellied black snake could be a description for two kinds of snakes, a tiger snake and a dendrelaphis punctulata. A tiger Snake is a venomous serpent located in the southern regions of Austrilia. It can grow very large, up to two metres, and it is part of the Elapiade family, therefore it is confined to the warm areas of Australia. The tiger snake has a dark olive top with faith yellow stripes and a bright yellow or orange belly. The killed their preys with venom or with a bite, and can they can prove fatal with a human, however they are not very aggressive and will warn approachers with a closed mouth strike and when they feel threatened they will flatten their body and have their head lift high in a striking position. Their venom is highly poisonous (one of the most poisonous in the world) and once a human has been bitten with the venom of a tiger snake, they will start to fell pain in their foot and in the neck, then dullness will set followed by sweating and finally breathing difficulties and paralysis. When bitten, the victim should apply pressure on the wound and surrounding area, to try to prevent the venom from reaching the lymphatic system and anti venom should be taken.
A  dendrelaphis punctulata, also known as a green tree snake, is not venomous and is found in most parts of Australia. The colour of the snake can vary from olive green to dark black with a bright yellow belly. When they are threatened they will either produce a smelly odour or they might just bite. Also they will inflate their body to make themselves look bigger, however once they known that they are being watched, they will try to escape very quickly.

It is the yellow bellied water snake and it is non-poisonous, it might bite you but don't worry it will fade off.
