Lump in your dog can not be identified until or unless physical examination. Usually dogs have soft, rounded fatty lumps that are called lipomas. These lumps don't harm and need no treatment but surgery is recommended when cause irritations. Other possibilities are
  1. Hives
  2. Sebaceous cysts
  3. Warts
  4. Infected hair follicles
  5. Hematomas
  6. Abscess
Sometimes, cancerous growths are also possible but rare in dogs. In my opinion, you should take your dog to vet for accurate diagnosis and treatment if needed.
