What Do Baby Soft Shell Turtles Eat?

We have put our baby turtle in a large aquarium with multiple tadpoles. The smaller tadpoles will serve as food for our turtle "Pancake". He has started to eat the lettuce we have given him. Cat food and dog food are not good choices for a growing turtle.

We found a baby soft shell no bigger than a 50 cent piece put him in aquarium didnt know what to feed him so caught a small bass cleaned it it and sliced a very small piece off put in tank and he ate it .this morning all gone so sliced another and just put in watch and see

I have been feeding my baby soft-shell tadpoles also, and I heard they can eat romaine lettuce..

Go to the pet store, and buy Riptomins for it.  I feed about 6-8 of the floating pellets at once twice a day.

Go to turtlesale.com. They sell their own brand of food. The only thing my spiny soft shell turtle will eat. You can also give a little bit of dry cat food. About one pellet, and break into tiny pieces. Feed 3 pieces in the am and 3 at night. Or, your local pet store will sell turtle food, but mine does not like it. In the winter Oct  or Nov through Jan or Feb it will not eat at all. Hibernation.

I found a baby soft shell turtle in a local lake....what would be the best food to feed it????
