Yes you can, if vet not available, tilt dogs head up, place aspirin in mouth and with free hand, rub his throat and it will go down. Trying to hide it in food won't work and crushing it into food, he won't eat. If just stuffing in reg food, he will eat around it, unless maybe coat aspirin with soft dog food and feed as treat, but the best method is the one above, or so I hear
You can give him baby tylenol in dropper until you can speak to a vet, it is also to check with local pet food store and see what they suggest. Check your yellow pages or google for more information. There may a question and answer forum specifically, as you do not say what type of pain, and when it started. Is is an injury, or is it arthritis. Always good to check with your vet
My dog has a dash in his leg and its bleeding Little what can I give to help with pain
Yes they have pet aspirin for them in pet stores, petco for instant its made mainly for pets and safe to use only for pets too,use your pet is in pain how you feel if you were in pain think how they feel you do love them enough to not see them in pain, right?
We had an elderly Pomeranian with arthritis and our vet said to give him about 1/4 to1/2 of a childrens asperin if it was bad, we crushed it and mixed it in a little peanut butter to get home to take it. However if you don't know the cause of the pain don't give your dog anything without asking a vet first.
