Yes he or she can take a bath. I always give my dog one before I take him in to the vet. I like him to look fresh and clean and there has never been a problem.

If you plan on taking your puppy to the vet for vaccines, do NOT bath him. He may have some skin issues that you may not be aware of and your vet will be able to see it and guide you as to what to do. Plus they can suggest a good quality shampoo for your puppy. Some of the store bought shampoos can be too strong for young puppy skin.
