Do Spider Bites Go Away And Return Several Weeks Later, Then Several Weeks After That?

I was bit on the leg by a brown spider exactly two weeks ago.  At first it was just a small red splotch (no bump at all).  Then after a 7-9 days it faded away, but now as of about two days ago I've developed a bump on my leg that somewhat resembles a mosquito bite.  However, it does not itch.  It's just the same size and feels like a knot under my skin.  I do not know what kind of spider bit me.  I only got a quick glance of a brown spider with a round belly (not a light oval belly like the recluse).  So in answer to your question--YES.  Mine has done exactly that.  I'm so confused by it.  I've never had a spider bite that I'm aware of til this.  The pain in the first few days was terrible.  It felt like I had glass in my leg muscles, and my skin around the bite was clammy for days.  Now it doesn't hurt, no temperature difference like before...just a bump...

Depends on the type of spider that bit you. I had a spider bite on my arm once. It itched very badly for several days. I could see something in the center of the bite, but could not get it out. Finally a week later a small black splinter looking thing festered up to the surface of the skin. Once I got it out the wound healed. I could only guess it was a fang from the spider.
