It's highly unlikely that Dejan Lovren eats cats for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it's illegal to kill a domestic cat in the United Kingdom, within which Dejan Lovren currently resides.
Secondly, as he's a professional footballer, it's unlikely that cat meat would be on the list of foods his nutritionist provides for him in order to remain in athletic condition. There are, however, places in the world where cat meat is eaten.
ChinaCat meat can be found on the menu of some homes in south eastern China, although never within northern Chinese homes. As well as consuming meat from the cat's muscles, it's intestines are also often eaten.
Korea
Cat consumption in Korea varies somewhat. Rather than consuming cat meat, it's boiled to produce a liquid broth that's believed to help to treat arthritis.
Indigenous Australians
Some indigenous Australians have been known to eat cat meat. It's usually prepared over an open fire and eaten in a stew. I'm not sure I'd like to try that stew, to be honest.
So there you have it. It's pretty likely - I'd argue certain - that Dejan Lovren does NOT eat cat meat. Although it may seem a little unpleasant to many western civilisations, there are cases of humans consuming cat meat throughout the world. Looking at my two kittens, however, I certainly couldn't do it!
