When Mo was a Nestling I fed her the Starling Diet ... Basically dried dog food soaked in water, mashed together with boiled egg, pureed apple, some calcium powder and some bird vitamins. I added a little honey for flavour. (I cut down a Slurpee Straw slightly to simulate her mum's beak and fed her from that.) When she was a fledgling (learn to fly) she still ate this mix, but I started to give her little pieces of cooked chicken meat. Now she eats cat food straight out of the can - but only one variety - she loves the chicken, egg and vegetables and eats all of it.
