If the 'crust' you're talking about is miniscule - like the kind of crust we can get after we wake up- then there's nothing to be worried about. If this is nothing like what you're noticing... Bring your little fuzzy friend to the vet.

Removing the crust with a damp, clean cloth will ensure that it cannot cause damage to the eye. Guinea pigs clean themselves and the chances of something like that getting into, and scratching their eyes are high.
