There is no way a new born ring neck snake will eat a pinkie. I have a newborn ringneck snake. He is probable 3 inches in length and I do not see him eating a pinkie. Ringneck snakes prefer small worms.. Especially salamanders from what I hear.
Small insects: mosquitoes, flies, worms anything you can find preferably alive that flies or crawls & wll fit in its mouth.♥ and feed it at least twice per week. hint: Place snake in aquarium with screened lid and release flies/mosquitoes under lid.
I would try crickets earth worms or small bugs ect. I love snakes I catch them all the time
I belive the ring necked snake eats about 1 earth worm, in the after noon and in the morning!!
When a snake first hatches it eats what is in the egg and doesn't start eating until the first shed. Try small foods insects, crickets, meal worms, pinkie mice ect.
www.oplin.org This should help. Feed a couple times a week.
Baby pinkie mice will do the trick, a new born hatchling will NOT be able to catch any flying prey even if it can strike fast, you can buy pinkies from any reptile shop. They only need to feed once a week mostly, it depends if he will take more .x
I hatched my baby snake from an egg and raised him like that, he is perfectly well.xx

All snakes eat baby rats/mice you can get them at the pet store and you ask for a baby pinky and they give you a pinky in a bag and the pinky should NOT have any hair or it shouldnt open its eyes then when you get home you put the snake in a different cage and put the pinky in there to then leave the snake alone and let it eat the pinky the snake eats the pinky whole so don't be scared!
Snake hatchlings will eat some arachnids, or pinkie mice.x
I have no idea but I could not pass this up. If I see a snake on any kind, they can eat whatever I leave behind when I vacate the address. LOL
You can check out www.wikipedia.org and see what you find there. I don't like snakes, so I literally know nothing about them except that they scare me.
