Thank you for wanting to take the poor kitty in. It depends on what the cat needs to make sure that it's healthy and isn't very ill. Even if you can't afford to take it to the vet, you can call the spca and see if they can give it a check up at the very least.
Shots will probably have to be given, and that can get expensive, but if you talk to them about this, maybe they will set you up with a payment plan. Still, talking to the vet, they might be able to tell you what the kitty might need. I am proud of you for helping an animal that might not otherwise have a chance out there. Thank you.
