I don't know what the person is thinking above me. No lice cannot live on animals. Not mice, dogs, cats, ferrets, gerbils nothing. Lice are strictly a human parasite. Fleas, however do live on ferrets. But lice have to have a certain temperature in order to live. Considering ferrets body temperatures are much higher than humans, they'd basically die of heat stroke. Or something along those lines. But no lice will not and cannot live on ferrets.
Lice cannot live on ferrets. Also lice that can live on rodents, like mice and rats, cannot live on humans. But there are no lice species that live on ferrets.
Yes just like it can live on mice, rabbit and humans basically on any thing that has a lot of hair
