Many owners complain that their dog is vomiting white foam. If it happens occasionally then no need to be worried but persistent foamy vomit with some other signs of illness can be problematic. It can be a condition called canine bloat which is dangerous and life threatening. In canine bloat, stomach become filled with air after eating. This condition can put pressure on other organs and can cause twisting of stomach. This condition can lead to death if not treated on time. Symptoms of bloat are
  1. Pacing
  2. Drooling
  3. Foamy vomiting.

Other reasons of foamy vomiting can be due to foods and eating habits like rapid eating, over eating,  dry foods etc. You should take your dog to vet for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Puppy is gagging and throwing up white foam like she's choking on something. She's not gasping for air. Just pacing and whining. Won't eat or drink. Puppy only weighs 1.8 lbs. What should we do?

My puppy isn't eating anything nor drinking water my wife and I have to force feed him. It's been going on for the last 3 days now, so today we took him to see the vet. They did a parvo test and thank god he doesn't have it, so they gave him medicine for his diarrhea and vomiting. So far his diarrhea is getting better but just 10 min. Ago he vomited white foam. Does anyone have any idea why? Is it the medicine? I'm really desperate here please if you've dealt with something like this what did you do? And is your pet still alive.

He might have rabies(a possibility) or a REALLY upset stomach. Take her to the vet or something to make sure.

I'm dealing with the same issues with my 12 week puppy.  I'm pretty discouraged...  He seems to be able to keep down Gerber rice cereal with a little bit of wet food mixed in.  Good luck.
