if you already have a tick problem on your hands arm yourself with patience and with the same chemical treatments you would use for prevention. Use a shampoo as an additional backup, but make sure not to apply it within the first week after you’ve used the antiparasitic emergency treatment.

If you noticed that your dog is not so happy and active as he used to be, and he sleeps more than before, you should contact your vet. Besides medication, your dog might need some new nutrition or supplements in his diet. You can find some amazing dog supplies online in order to easily get the right treats for your beloved dog.

Forever.  They fill up with the dogs blood until they are so bloated and hugh, that they look fake.  They can give an infection to the dog too.  The more ticks on a dog, the more blood that is sucked up - which causes anemia in the dog. If it's bad enough, it can kill them.  Pick them off immediately but make sure you get the head of the tick or that can cause an infection too.  The BEST thing to do, is get a product called FRONTLINE  from your vet ( cost about $ 12 a month ) . Put it slowly from the base of the dogs neck - all the away down to it's tail.  It's Fantastic  !   It keeps ALL ticks, bugs, fleas, Mosquitos and anything like that from the dog.  The few ticks that manage to attach themselves to the dog anyway , are killed by the Frontline.  We've had our dog for 8 yrs and she has never had a flea, bug or anything. In 8 years, she has had maybe 5 ticks over the years, but they all died on her immediately.   DEFINITLY worth the money !   It also helps prevent Heart-worm in dogs too, which comes from Mosquitos bites.
