In the 24-48 hours after vaccination dogs can experience lethargy, mild anorexia, discomfort or pain at the injection site, and swelling at the injection site. Serious reactions include facial swelling, difficulty breathing, vomiting or severe diarrhea, and weakness---if your dog is exhibiting any of these signs this is an emergency get him to a veterinarian.
The milder signs of lethargy and pain care not an emergency but should be brought to the attention of your veterinarian. If needed; your veterinarian can provide pain management for your dog to make him feel better. In the future your veterinarian may want to separate his vaccines to minimize the lethargy and soreness.
