Well the color of a pitbull has nothing to do with anything, so I'm not sure why that was added. And pitbulls have had many jobs since they started being bred.
Back in the day when pit fighting was legal, one of the things they bred them for was a very high pain tolerance. Also the state of mind not to stop until the job is finished.
They also bred extreme loyalty into the dogs and gentleness towards people and they were later used for babysitting.
Now a lot of pits are in pulling contests and some people have adapted them to have a little shorter legs so it's easier to pull more weight.
There are so many more things that people have there pits do, but thats just an idea.
