Ligers are made as a result of a male lion and a female tiger. They inherit certain size genes from both of their parents, which as a result makes them twice as big as either.
Tigons on the other hand are produced by a female lion and a male tiger. Their genetics makes them half of the size of both a lion and tiger. There's not much difference in appearance between them, and both are infertile which is way they aren't considered new species.
Female lion + male tiger =Tigon
male lion + female tiger = liger
As far as I know, they don't look very different from each other.
A Liger has a dad lion and a mum tiger, and a Tigon has a Tiger dad and a Lion mum
Female Lion and a male Tiger mate And when the Lion gives birth you get a Tigon They are smaller then a Ligon, and they look more like a Tiger then a Lion, perhaps thats why they called them "Tigons"

The bad thing is since the Ligon is bigger then the mom and the dad it is very hard to give birth, so to get the baby out they have to do a caesarean section, that is like cutting up the belly to take the baby out...
Another bad thing is the Tigons and the Ligers, because of different genetics, are born Mutated (Like formed differently), or they are born with birth defects... So they might not live that long...
There are many differences between ligers and tigons, most notably the size and looks. Tigons are not nearly as large as Ligers. Tigons are known to be often times smaller than their counterparts.
Ligers are larger than Tigons, and Ligers are the offspring of a male lion and a female tiger, Tigons are vice-versa. Breeding for Tigons is also harder.
Usually a liger looks more like the lion, rather than a tiger, hence why the L is first in its name. A tigon usually has more of the tiger look, hence why the T is first in its name.
Ligers are related to Napolean and Tigons have Pringles in their diet system for digesting digestive biscuits. Ligers often eat Tigons because they want the LOL Cats for themselves. The Ligers are very self centered and greedy, while Tigons are loving for everyone, even the people with two faces. Whenever the Sun turns to a square, the Ligers and Tigons gather together for a gather to talk about the plant fibers they have gathered. This often breaks out into a fight, because Tigons carry salt, and everybody knows what happens when you carry salt. The Liger is the child of a female Pineapple Tree and a male Turtle. However, the Tigon is the child of a female Shark and a male Hammer. That's it, don't get confused and remember that the force is with you. Which attract Ligers. And Tigons. Which eat you. K thx, bye.
A Liger eats potatos, and a Tigon has no digestive system and incapable of love.
Also, Ligers believe in God, whereas Tigons don't ... Think much.
In conclusion, Human research has found that Tigons tend to steal potatos from Ligers, and Tigons are in in the process of discovering the meaning of love through doing backflips off trees and doing the cha cha. Humans are tempted to test this method, but the Tigon version of the cha cha is not possible for the Human body.
Oh and I forgot - Ligers produce lolipops for industrial reasons, and are inflating the economy of China.
One eats you the other is you
